What is the Jesuit pupil profile?
Our Jesuit pupil profile guides our pupils and staff to embody virtues inspired by St Ignatious Loyola. These virtues, which are human qualities shared by all, focus on living and learning for the greater glory of God and the common good.
Each half term we focus on a pair of virtues, introduced in a phase assembly. We make pledges and try to use and recognise the virtues in our daily lives. The following virtue pairs will be our focus for the academic year 2025-2026...
Eloquent and truthful
Autumn 1
Pupils are growing to be eloquent and truthful in what they say of themselves, the relations between people, and the world.
Learned and wise
Autumn 2
Pupils are growing to be learned, finding God in all things; and wise in the ways they use their learning for the common good.
Curious and active
Spring 1
Pupils are growing to be curious about everything; and active in their engagement with the world, changing what they can for the better.
Intentional and prophetic
Spring 2
Pupils are growing to be intentional in the way they live and use the resources of the earth, guided by conscience; and prophetic in the example they set to others.
Grateful and generous
Summer 1
Pupils are growing to be grateful for their own gifts, for the gift of other people, and for the blessings of each day; and generous with their gifts, becoming men and women for others.
Attentive and discerning
Summer 2
Pupils are growing to be attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices they make and the effects of those choices.
