Shwmae! The year 2 team are Mrs J Flynn and Mrs R Villata

In year 2 we pride ourselves in creating an engaging and challenging learning environment where all learners are inspired to achieve their potential. It is important for us to create an atmosphere of trust and respect where all individuals can share their ideas and have a voice. We are an ambitious teaching team who strive to make children love learning.  We want all children to feel comfortable, confident and safe.

Meet the Team!

Mrs Flynn enjoys working with children, learning together and seeing learner's progress makes her very proud. She has a love of reading particularly fiction books and walking in the beautiful welsh countryside with her dog. She also enjoys spending time with her family and feels very fortunate and blessed.

 

Mrs Villata was born in Italy and moved to Wales 10 years ago. In her free time she enjoys cooking traditional food, walking on the mountain or painting illustrations whilst holding a cup of tea. In school she enjoys everything related to creativity and art and learning about all the different cultures that make our school a lovely place to be. 

 

Mrs Brown also works part time in year 2. She is a member of the Salvation Army in Abergavenny. She loves to teach the children new songs in school, especially ones with actions which get the children up and dancing! Out of school, Mrs Brown is a busy mum of four children. She is passionate about learning to speak Welsh. She also likes going for walks and keeping fit at the local gym.
